Metal statues and silver jewelry are traditional metal handicraft - each

piece handmade by today's "Newar" artists who are preserving the

guidelines and techniques for centuries. Newari metal statues and silver

jewelleries are famous around the world for its authenticity, manufacturing

process, fine carving and art work, traditional workmanship and high

professionalism of the artists. 

Newar artists use traditional technique known as Lost Wax Method of

casting in the manufacturing of statues and idols. This complicated process

requires an artists conception, proper technology, an engineers perfection

and skillful hands of

a craftsman. The art and skills required have been handed down from

ancestors and the age-old designs and production technology is still being

followed

Product Description 

Kharachheri is a form of Bodhisatva Avalokiteswara. The six syllables "OM MANDI PADME HUM"  is considered so efficacious that it has been carved on rock faces and constantly chanted by devotees. He is always decked with all sorts of ornaments. He is four armed with rose in the right arm and full-blown lotus on the left. The other two principal hands are raised to the chest with the palms enjoined in Namaskar Mudra with a round object known as Jewel.

This particular Kharcheri Statue is of high quality!  handmade by Newari Artisans of Nepal.
